TAX STRUCTURE

Since 1994, Olathe, Kansas, has benefited from a general pattern of declining property tax levies, while providing infrastructure improvements and continuing beautification efforts and parks improvements.

Current mill levy for the City of Olathe - 119.902 (tax year 2007-2008)

-Total sales tax rate (city, county and state): 7.525%
   -Two districts within the City charge an additional 1% for Transportation Development
     District project bonds - Olathe Gateway (Bass Pro) and Olathe Pointe Shopping Center
-Property Taxes (levies per $1,000 of assessed valuation)
